Sydney native and rising star Kilter is on the remix of UK Deep House mainstay Ben Pearce’s late 2012 underground hit What I Might Do. Kilter, part of the new guard of Australian dance music has skillfully married Deep house and what is currently being described as the ‘Australian Sound’.

Soft shimmering synths flow throughout behind Pearce’s original vocals, as lazy drums play catch-up in the background. Reverbs and echoes last forever while soft guitars, pitched up vocals help make for a track that doesn’t need to try too hard and down tempo rhythm reflects the young producers trademark sound and the lack of a definite ‘drop’ in a world where words like filthy, dirty and brain melting have reigned supreme for the last 3 years is refreshing.

Sophistication and sunny afternoon vibes are effortlessly achieved and the whole thing conjures up visuals of drinking in a park with your best friends, on a Sunday afternoon, where everyone is dancing in slow motion, on your birthday, for which you received a new puppy, after kissing that girl you’ve liked for ages.
