Well, it was bound to happen. The two perennial radio favourites tied the knot after all, despite the collective willpower of the Internet, so it was only a matter of time before they teamed up on a single release as well.

Avril loves a lilting 6/8 track, and Kroeger has long swam in the murky waters of big, empty sentiment, so obviously this big, brooding, Evanescence-esque power ballad will be impossible for radio programmers to ignore.

Lavigne delivers a vocal performance that reminds us that she can belt with the best of them, while Kroeger, as usual, is so awash in effects that he sounds like an underwater Vedder-bot. Hopefully the title proves prescient.
