Atlantic Music Group has promoted longtime executive Kevin Weaver to the newly established position of President, signalling a fresh leadership chapter for the label group.

Based in Los Angeles and reporting to AMG CEO Elliot Grainge, Weaver will now lead on high-impact strategic areas across the organisation.

Per Variety, his responsibilities span key business pillars including soundtrack projects, strategic partnerships, gaming initiatives, sync licensing, and brand collaborations across Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment and 10K Projects.

Weaver’s elevation comes after more than three decades with Atlantic, where he has held a range of senior posts - from EVP roles to President of Film & Television, and most recently President, West Coast.

Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in positioning Atlantic as a powerhouse in soundtrack production, shepherding releases for cultural touchstones such as Barbie The Album, Twisters The Album, The Greatest Showman, Suicide Squad and F1 The Album. These projects collectively have amassed tens of millions of album-equivalent units and billions of streams worldwide, alongside numerous Grammy nominations and other major awards.

In a statement, Grainge applauded Weaver’s contributions, highlighting his ability to create projects that expand opportunities for the label’s artists and deepen relationships with creators and brands.

“Kevin has spearheaded a remarkable series of era-defining projects, creating powerful opportunities for Atlantic’s artists while helping make the label the go-to partner for creators and brands looking to make an impact. With him now stepping into this central role, all of Atlantic Music Group will benefit from his unrivaled expertise, relationships, and passion," he said.
