APRA Song of the Year voting is open

90,000 APRA members are being asked to vote on something a lot nicer than the last thing they had to vote for: Which Aussie song was the standout of 2017?

The annual APRA Song of the Year Award ballot opened today, and you've got until  5pm on December 15 to vote.

A shortlist will be announced in January, 'cos 90,000 is a lot of votes to tally, especially with your handwriting (it's an online vote).

Previous winning songs include the likes of 'Distant Sun' by Crowded House, 'Even When I'm Sleeping' by Leonardo's Bride, and 'Scar' by Missy Higgins.

Oh, and by voting, APRA members are automatically entered to win a massive prize.
