A man accused of glassing MC Pressure at a private party in Adelaide on May 31 appeared in court for the first time.

Christopher Peregi, 42, of Aberfoyle Park, made an appearance at Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with one count of intentionally causing harm to Pressure (aka Daniel Smith).

The Adelaide Advertiser reported that the court adjourned the matter to a date in October after police requested more time to gather evidence.

The incident in question took place at a wake at a house in Istanbul Drive, Aberfoyle Park, about 11pm on May 31.

Pressure was hospitalised overnight at Flinders Medical Centre with non-life threatening head injuries.
