MC Pressure (real name Daniel Smith) of the Hilltop Hoods was hospitalised on Friday night after being glassed in the head at a party in the southern Adelaide suburb of Aberfoyle Park.

The band has made no comment on the incident but police confirmed they had been called to a party at 11 pm on Thursday night to a private gathering on Istanbul Drive.

They said a man had been hit on the head with a drinking glass.

40-year-old Pressure was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment for non-life threatening injuries before being released.

A 42-year-old Aberfoyle Park man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in July.

A neighbour, Chrystine Caple, told 9News that the altercation spilled onto the street.
