AC/DC kicked off the Australia leg of their Power Up tour in Melbourne last night in spectacular fashion.
The rock icons played for over two hours at the MCG in front of over 80,000 fans, which included some surprises.
Midway through the set, the band teared into 1976 classic, "Jailbreak", their first time performing the track since 1991. The song appeared on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and was a live set regular during the Bon Scott era. Check it out below.
Rolling Stone AU/NZ gave the show a 4.5/5 rating, saying that by the second song of the night, "Back in Black", they proved they've still got it: "Don’t heed the haters, there’s still plenty of power in Brian Johnson’s gritty vocals."
"At one point, Angus rises up on a cherry picker at the end of the catwalk while soloing like it’s a walk in the park. Once fully elevated, he drops to the floor and backspins – all the while nailing his guitar parts. And playing one-handed? That’s a cinch for our Angus. Confetti cannons detonate to celebrate his brilliance," the review reads.
"There can only be one Angus Young, the OG guitar hero, and this aerial guitar solo is one for the ages."
