Sydney’s 5 Seconds of Summer will feature on the soundtrack for this year’s Ghostbusters reboot.

Announced on Twitter this morning, the quartet recorded the track Girls Talk Boys for the film’s soundtrack, which is set for release on July 15.

According to Ultimate Music, the track was written by Teddy Geiger, Eric Frederic, Ammar Malik, and John Ryan. It’s expected the track will be included on the band’s upcoming third album, alongside new tracks Sunsets On Fire and Counting the Days.

5SOS’s sophomore album Sounds Good Feels Good earned them global ubiquity following its release last October. It hit #1 on nine global charts, including the Billboard 200, UK Albums and ARIA charts. In Ireland it reached Platinum certification and reached Gold status in the US and Indonesia.

Among the 32 awards the band has received since forming in 2011 are two ARIAs, four MTV EMAs, two MTV VMAs and one APRA.
