Aussie songwriter and producer Tyron Hapi has inked an exclusive global publishing agreement with BMG.

Hapi has written for a range of artists including Masked Wolf for his breakthrough hit 'Astronaut In The Ocean', which has racked up more than 100 million streams on Spotify. Elsewhere, his singles 'Anyway' featuring Mimoza is a certified Platinum track and 'About You' featuring Laurell is certified Gold. Last year, he released 'Lonely' featuring SUD and Sam Bruno, which recently topped the Mediabase dance charts.

All up, Hapi has amassed more than 300 million streams globally with his originals, remixes and collaborations.

"I’m so grateful to be a part of such a prestigious company with an incredibly talented roster. Excited for all the great music that is yet to be made," Hapi said in a statement.

By signing to BMG, Hapi joins a publishing roster currently comprising Alison Wonderland, Peking Duk, Client Liaison, Illy, Wolfmother and Safia, among others.

"Tyron is a superb talent. As a solo artist he has incredible streaming numbers and as a producer he has one of the biggest hip hop songs in the world right now and plenty more in the can," BMG ANZ managing director Heath Johns said.

"I’m delighted to extend our ongoing relationship with Lucky [Entertainment] and couldn’t be more thrilled to have Tyron join our global publishing roster."

Hapi's manager Jae Butt added: “Tyron is one of the most talented producers and independent artists in Australia, so it made sense to join forces with the largest independent publisher in the world.

"The BMG team’s success speaks for itself and we’re honoured to have Tyron become a global priority for them."
