Perth indie rockers Spacey Jane have renewed their global recording deal with AWAL.

Following their initial signing in December 2019, the new deal will see the band pair with AWAL for a full range of publishing and creative services, including global marketing and promotion, digital and physical distribution, A&R, synch licensing and brand partnerships.

The announcement comes on the first anniversary of the band's debut album Sunlight, which entered the ARIA Albums Chart at #2 and featured Platinum-certified single 'Booster Seat', which also came in #2 in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2020.

AWAL's marketing director Ben Godding celebrated news of the partnership, hinting at the label's plans to break Spacey Jane in the international market.

“There's no better or bigger band in Australia right now,” Godding said.

“It has been extra-special for the AWAL Australia team to be involved in Spacey Jane's growth over the last few years, and we firmly believe they are now poised to break through on a global scale."

Spacey Jane's manager and drummer Kieren Lama said that the band were in good hands with AWAL thanks to the newly minted deal.

"It's an absolute pleasure and privilege to be working with AWAL again on our next release, and we're so excited for this next chapter," Lama said.

"We had such a fantastic experience working on Sunlight, and are stoked to be working closely with AWAL's international teams to give this a real global effort. After the last run, we know we're in good hands and can't wait to see what's in store.”
