Algerian-French DJ and record producer, DJ Snake, has a new local home for his catalogue.

Philip Mortlock's Origin Music Publishing has entered into an exclusive sub-publishing deal to represent the Paris-based producer's chart-topping songs.

Origin Music has an on-going partnership with France-based Write Here Music, with Mortlock representing the indie's catalogue locally.

After being administered by Alberts and its affiliates for close to nine years, the indie publisher went fully independent with its own infrastructure in 2017.

"We’re proud to be representing such a ground-breaking international artist alongside the incomparable David Guetta, whom ORiGiN has represented for several years now," said Mortlock.

The DJ rocketed into the international scene with hits 'Bird Machine' and 'Turn Down for What' in 2013, elevating through the dance scene to become one of the worlds biggest touring DJs.

William Sami Etienne Grigahcine, aka DJ Snake, has since enjoyed global success through collaborations with hitmakers like Diplo, Lady Gaga, Major Lazer, Justin Bieber and Selina Gomez.

He also became the fifth artist to hit clock one billion Spotify streams twice in 2018, following in the footsteps of Drake, Ed Sheeran, Bieber and The Chainsmokers.

His 2015 collab with Major Lazer joined an elite click club too, two years after its release, when the track hit two billion views on YouTube. 'Lean On' spent 47 weeks in the TMN Hot 100.

DJ Snake has been nominated for several Grammys, as well as being nominated for - and winning - several Billboard Music Awards. The trade title placed him at #9 on its 2018 top DJs list.
