Chugg Music signs Casey Barnes to management & recording deal

Sydney-based Michael Chugg Music has signed Gold Coast country-rock performer Casey Barnes to a management and recording deal.

Run by Michael Chugg and Andrew Stone, Chugg Music’s roster includes Sheppard, Lime Cordiale, The Griswolds, and Avalanche City.

Barnes’ current album The Good Life debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and peaked at #2 on the ARIA Country Album Chart, as well as being picked up by country radio.

He now has 134,000 listeners per month across streaming services, while his recordings have generated 4.37 million streams.

“The last couple of years have been a time incredible of growth for me personally and professionally,” said Barnes.

“I dared to approach Michael Chugg when I played CMC Rocks and was stunned to find that he knew my music.”

Chugg revealed that his new client has new music coming in September, and added:

Barnes also signed for live bookings with Select Music, to be repped by Stephen Wade and Rob Giovannoni.

His recent set at the Groundwater Country Music Festival on the Gold Coast won him the Inaugural P&O People Choice Award.
