APRA AMCOS has confirmed the latest lineup of artists leading The Regional Sessions across regional NSW in early 2026. Taking place in Bega, Broken Hill, Kiama, Port Macquarie and Lennox Head — The Regional Sessions offer local musicians an exclusive opportunity to connect with fellow artists and learn from top Australian music creators.

This year’s participating creators include Agum, Anna Laverty, Bec Sandridge, Casey Barnes, GLVES, Joel Ma, Kevin Mitchell (Jebediah/Bob Evans) and Zeppelin Hamilton (Velvet Trip). Each will participate in keynote speaking sessions, panel discussions, live performances and networking opportunities organised by APRA AMCOS and supported by Sound NSW.

Intended to support beginner, emerging and mid-career songwriters, producers and composers in each region, a representative of MusicNSW will also attend each event to provide further connections and support for attending musicians.

The Regional Sessions were first introduced in 2021 with a New South Wales tour, followed by runs in Victoria in 2022, Western Australia in 2023 and New South Wales again in 2025. Previous mentors include Ben Lee, Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Jem Cassar-Daley, KLP, Mo’Ju and Oscar Dawson.

Chris O’Neill, Director of Creative Programs at APRA AMCOS, explains: “The Regional Sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for local music creators to come together in their own town to form connections and gain valuable skills from leading songwriters, composers and producers.”

Emily Collins, Head of Sound NSW, says The Regional Sessions create “vital opportunities for regional songwriters to learn, connect and grow within their own communities,” adding that “investing in programs like this helps ensure that talent from every corner of NSW has access to the mentors, networks and industry pathways they need to thrive.”
