Alt-country label Stanley Records adds two new acts to its roster

Alt-country label Stanley Records has signed two more acts – Katie Brianna and Peta Caswell & The Lost Cause.

Double Golden Guitar nominated Brianna was discovered by Paul Kelly at the age of 15.

Her next album drops in September, produced by labelmate and frequent collaborator, Adam Young who emerged in indie bands Daisygrinders and Big Heavy Stuff, and had his songs covered by You Am I and The Lemonheads.

Brianna’s band on the album features Young, as well as members of The Cruel Sea, The Re-Mains and Spurs For Jesus.

Sydney-based Peta Caswell, the niece of high profile singer-songwriter, Allan Caswell, raised eyebrows on last year’s ground-breaking Aussie alt-country Take Me To Town compilation.

A self-titled EP is set for May 3 release, followed by the act’s debut album in early 2020.

Dave Favours, the alt-country musician who fronts The Roadside Ashes and set up Stanley Records in 2010, says:

“I won’t piss in your pocket with the usual press release clichés about what an honour it is to have two of the country’s finest singer/songwriters join our family.

“What I will say is that this ain’t paint-by-numbers, pristine country music.

“These ladies are at the top of their game and they fucking rock!”.

Stanley Records’ roster also includes Ben Leece, Deadwood 76, Spurs For Jesus and The Saloon Daddies.
