Troye Sivan strikes gold in new music video: Watch

Following the critically acclaimed video for throwback single ‘1999’ alongside Charli XCX, Troye Sivan is back at it again with new visuals for 2018 track ‘Lucky Strike’.

Directed by Emma Westenberg, the video sees Sivan navigate the delicate waters of love as he pursues a bartender on a summery beach.

After mustering up the nerve to finally approach the bar, the singer hesitates and asks for “just… whatever”. The cocktail has an unexpected flavour twist to it as Sivan notices his own heart being squeezed into the glass.

The pair end up drifting off into the sunset on boat before arriving back to shore for a sing-along with fellow beachgoers. 

Westenberg is also responsible for directing Janelle Monae’s Grammy-nominated video for ‘Pynk’, with obvious visual elements crossing over between the two.
