Following the rampant radio success of debut single ‘Waiting’ (#18 TMN Hot 100 and climbing), Unearthed High reigning champion KIAN unveils the next chapter of his musical journey with ‘Childism’.

Defined as discrimination against the young, KIAN delves into meaningful lyrical territory on 'Childism' as he explores stereotypes, personal growth and mental illness, while demonstrating a maturity that far belies his years.

“The idea of ‘Childism’ is based around feeling as if you don’t have a voice in society, like you’re stuck in the middle of being a kid and an adult,” he explains, “that your thoughts and opinions often get lost in the clutter because of your age.

“It’s the constant pressure of expectation, stereotypes, fitting in, mental health and bullying, all issues that affect young people of today and will inevitably affect the future of our people and world."

triple j were the first to raise their hand in support of the Victorian's new single with a high rotation addition. Hit Nights show Collective Noun also added 'Childism' to the playlist.

KIAN has recently been added to the UK Great Escape Festival lineup for 2019 which will see the new EMI Music Australia signing head to Brighton this coming May.
