Amy Shark and Calvin Harris have helped Sony Music Australia reach its highest market share percentage on the Hot 40 airplay chart since May 2017.

Currently at 30%, Sony’s share has grown week-on-week since January, leaving the label second to Universal Music Australia (40.49%).

Shark’s ‘I Said Hi’ moves back to the top of the Hot 100 after spending the last two weeks at #3, while Harris & Dua Lipa’s collab ‘One Kiss’ is peaking at #3.

Substantial airplay gains from Australian acts Conrad Sewell (‘Healing Hands’, #13) and Peking Duk (‘Fire’, #21) have also aided the cause.

Last year, Sony hit a high of 38% market share in the Hot 40 led by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s smash hit ‘Something Just Like This’, which spent seven weeks at #1.
