Lee Kernaghan tops TMN's Country Airplay Chart with 'Backroad Nation'
Kernaghan is the third Aussie to summit the chart in 2019.

‘Backroad Nation’ has just ascended to the top of the latest TMN Country Airplay Chart, marking yet another #1 single for Australian country veteran Lee Kernaghan.
Rising 4-1, ‘Backroad’ ends Luke Combs' five-week chart reign with ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’ falling to #2.
Kernaghan is the third Aussie to summit the airplay chart in 2019 after Morgan Evans (‘Day Drunk’) and fellow ABC Music act Amber Lawrence (‘Outrageous’).
KIX Country, CMC, Triple M Country and Hot Country Network all ramped up support for ‘Backroad’ this week.
Combs, on the other hand, suffered spin drops across the board, notably from KIX who almost halved their weekly spins.
Kernaghan is in the midst of his Australia-wide Backroad Nation Tour, making stops in regional centres across the country.
His most recent album of the same name reached #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Kernaghan's tenth Top 10 entry.
