Paul Kelly has scored his highest chart debut in four years with his 30th studio album, Seventy.

The Australian legend's new record has debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums chart, as well as No. 1 on the Australian Albums and Vinyl lists. Kelly has now landed in the top 10 14 times with four efforts: Life Is Fine (No. 1 for one week in 2017), Nature (one week in 2018), Songs From The South: 1985-2019 (one week in 2019), and Paul Kelly’s Christmas Train (one week in 2022).

It still wasn't enough to dethrone Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl which has remained in top spot for six straight weeks.

Other local Albums chart debuts this week come from Canberra outfit Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers with their second LP, GLORY, at No. 9, as well as No. 2 on the Australian Albums list, Aussie country singer James Blundell with his 12th album, Patience Wins, at No. 25 and Melbourne’s Cosmic Psychos at No. 32 with I Really Like Beer.

Over on the Singles chart, Swift's “The Fate of Ophelia” continues its reign, which now ties her longest-running No. 1 song - 2022’s “Anti-Hero”- at six weeks on top.
