Independent Chart Wrap: More success for Meg Mac

AIR Singles

Meg Mac holds the top of the Carlton Dry Independent Singles chart for her third week in a row with Never Be, while Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Mataya & Young Tapz remains at #2. Moving up to a new peak of #3 is another Meg Mac single, Roll Up Your Sleeves which is up from #7. One new debut comes in at #10 with The Smith Street Band’s I Scare Myself Sometimes followed by two re-entries at #16 and #20 from Hermitude’s Parallel Paradise EP and Meg Mac’s Every Lie respectively.

AIR Radio Play

Never Be remains at the top of the Radio Play chart as well this week with the first movement coming in at #3 from Ngaiire’s Once, which takes a new peak up from #4. Sheppard’s Geronimo returns to #4 from #13 while The Belligerents’ Voices falls short of their previous peak by one position, landing at #5 from #16. The same can be said for I Know Leopard’s Close My Eyes at #6 from #20. Sia’s Big Girls Cry enjoys a re-entry at #14 while Courtney Barnett’s Elevator Operator and Ayla’s Waiting re-enter at #19 and #20 respectively.

AIR Albums

The Waifs hold the Albums chart with Beautiful You since debuting at #1 last week. Seth Sentry’s Strange New Past moves back up to #4 from #7, while Hermitude’s Dark Night Sweet Light is back at #5 from #8. Chet Faker’s Thinking In Textures sits just outside of the Top 10 at #12 following a jump from #19. Gurrumul’s Gurrumul re-enters at #15 while The Getaway Plan’s Dark Horses returns to the chart at #16. Seth Sentry marks the last re-entry in the chart at #20 with This Was Tomorrow.
