Hot 100 Ed Sheeran still holds the #1 position with Thinking Out Loud three weeks after taking it from Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, which still sits at #2. Echosmith sees their track Cool Kids return to #3 after a brief drop to #5 last week. At #4 is Calvin Harris & John Newman’s Blame. which has been stuck in the #3-#5 range for eight weeks now. The Script’s Superheroes reaches a new peak at #5 up from #8, as does The Magician’s Sunlight featuring Years & Years, which is at #8 up from #13. Jessica Mauboy’s Can I Get A Moment just manages to break the Top 10 this week as well, landing at #10 from #19. Some notable movers this week are Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding with Outside climbing to #13 from #26, one of this week’s most moved tracks and only on its second week in the chart. Watermat’s Bullit moves up to #61 from #94 and Charli XCX’s Break The Rules is up at #53, 38 places higher than its previous spot at #91 - it’s this week’s most moved track. Notable debuts within the Top 50 come from Parra For Cuva & Anna Naklab’s Wicked Games, which enters at #37 after its first week at radio. Taylor Swift’s Blank Space also enjoys a strong debut at #49, all after less than a week of airplay. ARIA Singles Sheeran also enjoys more time at the top of the ARIA Singles chart this week with Thinking Out Loud holding the top spot for a fourth week now. #2 also sees Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, although this time it has moved up from #3 and is yet to fall out of the Top 5. Meghan Trainor’s Lips Are Movin makes #3 this week. It comes after debuting at #7 last week and becomes Trainor’s second Top 3 single in 2014. Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding’s Outside breaks the Top 10 this week, landing at #8 from last week’s #14 - his eighth Top 10 single. Hilltop Hoods also crack the Top 10 bracket after an impressive jump form #17 to #9 with Cosby Sweater. The chart also bears witness to some high debuts. At #29 is the latest single from Taylor Swift, Blank Space. #36 sees a new entry from Imagine Dragons with I Bet My Life and James Blunt also enjoys a strong debut at #38 with When I Find Love Again. ARIA Albums The ARIA Albums chart sees a very similar Top 2 with Taylor Swift’s 1989 holding #1 and Human Nature’s Jukebox sitting at #2, the same position both tracks debuted at last week. #3 sees a new debut from Calvin Harris with Motion, his fourth studio album and also his second to break the Top 5 bracket of the Albums chart. Hilltop Hoods’ #1 charting album Walking Under Stars re-enters the Top 10 landing at #8 from #12 and Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour is moving very close to doing the same, stopping at #11, up from #14. In what is its 70th week in the ARIA Top 50, Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits has re-entered the chart at #15, no doubt as a result of the swathe of press the band has had with the announcement of their Australian tour next year, on top of their upcoming eighth studio album Sonic Highways.
