Chart Wrap: Little Mix take out highest debut

The Weeknd sits atop the Hot 100 for another week with The Hills whilst Adele hits #2 with Hello moving up from #19. 

Marucs Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us hits #3 from #23. Zara Larsson & MNEK take a new peak at #5 from #7 with Never Forget You marking the last of the notable movement in the Top 10.

At #13 is some significant movement from Ariana Grande’s Focus which is up from its debut point of #39. David Guetta’s latest commercial radio hit Bang My Head featuring Sia & Fetty Wap has moved to #14 from #48 whilst Birds Of Tokyo’s I’d Go With You Anywhere enters the Top 20 at #17 from #21.

Rachel Platten’s Stand By You makes some notable movement to #32 from #54 while DJ Snake’s Middle featuring Bipolar Sunshine is making the most of both of commercial and alternative airplay, moving up to #42 from #67.

Only two debuts make it into the Top 50 this week. At #39 is Gin Wigmore’s Willing To Die while Tim Omaji’s Go To Work debuts at #49.

ARIA Singles

It’s now week three at the top for Adele’s Hello which sits pretty with a double Platinum certification. It leads ahead of Justin Bieber’s Sorry, also remaining at #2 for another week. Bieber could have another single in the Top 10 come next week’s chart however, as I’ll Show You makes a jump to #16 from #29 following the release of his new album Purpose last Friday.

Just outside the Top 20 at #22 is Rachel Platten’s Stand By You, moving up from #41, following in the success of previous single Fight Song which peaked at #2.

Debuting just behind her is One Direction’s History which is seeing more success following the debut of their new album Made In The A.M, also released last Friday.

At #30 is a new debut from Avicii with Broken Arrows, the latest single to take hold with his Australian audience and the fourth to come from his #10 charting album Stories.

ARIA Albums

Elvis Presley’s If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra holds the ARIA Albums chart for another week.

Little Mix debut at #2 with their third studio album Get Weird while Ellie Goulding’s Derlirium takes the #3 debut, setting a new peak for the artist. Her previous best was 2014’s Halcyon Days which peaked at #4.

Birds Of Tokyo’s Playlist, a compilation featuring many of their hits is followed by Sarah Blasko’s Eternal Return at #6, just falling short of her previous best of #5 with 2010’s As Day Follows Night.
