Completed just weeks before his passing last year, Gurrumul’s final album Djarimirri (Child of the Rainbow) is on track for a Top 3 debut following its release on Friday. With contributions from members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the album is likely to match the same peak of previous work The Gospel Album (#3).

Country act Jason Aldean is on track for the Top 10 with his eighth studio album Rearview Town. Aldean’s charting record in Australia is underscored by 2016 record They Don’t Know which debuted at #5 above The BeatlesLive At The Hollywood Bowl.

Enticing fans with the first taste of new music in nearly three years, US band Breaking Benjamin will edge towards the Top 10 as new album Ember gains traction. With Neil Finn back in the news, Crowded House are moving fast up the Albums Chart this week with their 2x Platinum The Very Very Best Of Crowded House.

Nicki Minaj is making her presence felt on the Singles Chart with two debuts. Duel singles ‘Barbie Tingz’ and ‘Chun-Li’ are likely to nab spots in the top half of the chart. Meanwhile, Drake’s ‘Nice For What’ is currently at #7, but will move up at least four spots into Top 3.
