WAM Awards

West Australian association WAM unveiled its 2022 nominees for Song of the Year from over 1,200 entries – equal to its entries last year.

Applications are now open for 2020's WAM Song Of The Year.

This year drew 1,400 submissions, the largest response in recent history.

Classically trained percussionists Elise Reitze-Swensen and Rosie Taylor, aka Feels, took home three awards.

Joining the annals of the Hall of Fame are music executive Dixie Battersby and ‘80s guitar band The Stems.

“We are blessed here in WA with such a high-quality music community and each year the job of shortlisting from within that community is really hard."

Organisers are determined to top last year’s record-breaking achievements.

Feels and Aboriginal artist John Bennett were also among the winners at the WAM Awards.

Nominees vie for a slice of the record-breaking $45,000 on offer.
