City of Sydney received feedback from 10,000 callers as part of its first review of the city's night-time planning in more than a decade.

“By putting lockout laws on the ballot of next year’s election, people now have a real choice and a course of action to rescind these laws, wind back the ‘nanny state’ and build a 24-hour city.”

“It’s a laughing stock... it's become an international joke. People are aware of it all over the world," says The Preatures' Isabella Manfredi.

Of the 25 recommendations from the night time economy task force, only five had been introduced by the NSW government.

The government is expecting a boom in low-risk venues as a result.

The panel will advise on new initiatives, identify emerging issues for Sydney’s night-time economy.

The NSW ILGA has not accepted recommended changes to late-night liquor licenses.
