IFPI’s "Global Music Report 2025" a picture of a healthy market that relies heavily on revenue from streaming models.

Australia's wholesale results topped $717 million in 2024, up 6.1% year-on-year. That’s against a global growth rate of 4.8%, reported by IFPI.

Swift is the IFPI’s No. 1 Recording Artist of the Year, while Australian acts are locked out of the trade body’s various year-end charts.

“The data paints a clear picture: music is a big business in Australia,” comments ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd. But it's not all good news.

Australia did its part. Revenue lifted by 11.3% year-on-year, as the territory locked in another global top 10 spot, at No. 10.
