Five songwriting workshops will occur in Geelong, Bendigo, Wangaratta, Gippsland and Dandenong this October.

The Sounds Australia Export Stimulus Program will deliver $1.2 million across 18 months to assist Australian artists return to the international touring circuit.

The awards celebrate the talents of Australia's contemporary classical, jazz and experimental composers and performers.

The organisations also urged governments of all levels to work with the industry on a business interruption support package.

21 female-identifying, non-binary and gender non-conforming artists have been selected by APRA AMCOS for this year's program.

Finalists for the 2021 Art Music Awards will be announced on Thursday, July 15.
