The MTC have launched their incredible 2018 season with this new spot featuring ’On + Off’ by Maggie Rogers. The young American artist is a strong choice for the spot as the theatre company seeks to push boundaries in theatre, just as Maggie does with her music.

RUN DMC x One Night In Mexico

Brand: One Night In Mexico

Name of campaign: Taco – One Night In Mexico Commercial

Music supervisor or Agency: Trailer Media

Artist: Run-DMC vs Jason Nevins

Track: ’It’s Like That’

Writer/s: Lawrence Smith, Joseph Ward Simmons, Darryl McDaniels

Publisher: Universal/MCA Music Publishing Pty Ltd

Label: Licensed courtesy of Sony Music Entertainment Australia Pty Ltd

Not only is the track fun and upbeat, which coincides with the campaign’s “up your taco game” slogan, but also the cutting to the young character with the Jason Nevins jumping in on the track makes this synchronization a match made in Mexico.

Sync-Ready Spotlights

The track is perfect for a sync licence because it really is a youth anthem – a shout out to all those teenagers out there to have fun, love life and live in the moment!

Artist: Zeal & Ardor

Track: ’What’s A Killer Like You Gonna Do Here?’

Label: MVKA

Publisher: Music Sales

Swiss-American musician/songwriter Manuel Gagneux is the mastermind behind Zeal & Ardor, the avant-garde metal, blues and spiritual musical project whose debut album Devil Is Fine hit a few mths back with a force. ‘Nothing released this year is as strange, inscrutable or wonderful’ extolled Rolling Stone, hailing the debut album as ‘a dream world of infinite possibilities’.

This track definitely presents those possibilities for trailers, tv theme, crime flicks & any dark content requiring a threatening musical undertow…

With an ominous beast of a vocal slightly inaudible but genuinely menacing, muttered themes straight from a place the sun don’t shine under a memorable driving swampy blues beat reminiscent of War’s Low Rider, the layering of percussive instruments is jarred only by a randomly triggered atonal guitar solo that snaps you from fear to intrigue.

Think Underbelly, True Detective, Dexter, Hannibal, Ripper and Chopper.
