Spotify has added local up-and-comer Youngn Lipz to its global emerging artist program RADAR.

The southwest Sydney-based R&B/rap artist will be featured across the streaming service's popular RADAR playlist, and will also benefit from on-platform marketing, bespoke content and social media support as part of the program.

Youngn Lipz's inclusion in the RADAR program comes off the back of his debut album Area Baby, which arrived via Virgin Music label imprint Biordi Music last week.

Alicia Sbrugnera, head of music AUNZ at Spotify, said that Youngn Lipz was one of Australia's best musical exports and welcomed him to the local RADAR program.

“Youngn Lipz has developed a fiercely loyal local fanbase," Sbrugnera said.

"His melodic and super versatile sound has connected with audiences abroad which speaks to his potential as one of the country’s most exciting international exports. We are delighted to play a part in Youngn Lipz’ journey to international stardom."

Youngn Lipz said it means everything to him to be part of the RADAR program.
