Vinyl Group forges a new commercial pact with Songtradr, Inc, the world’s largest B2B music licensing platform.

Through the arrangement, announced Tuesday, Oct. 22, Vinyl Group will represent the digital advertising inventory of Songtradr and its brands on a global scale, ramping-up the Australian company’s presence in the advertising space.

The agreement "significantly" expands Vinyl Group’s U.S. advertising business, increasing its scale by up to 20-times, reads a statement.

Songtradr

Songtradr, the music licensing and custom solutions specialist for film, ads, production, social content, and more, attracts more than 20 million unique viewers each month across its digital platforms.

Vinyl Group retains 50% of the net proceeds for any business procured under the deal, and new advertising opportunities will be integrated into the Vampr Ad Network, part of ASX-listed Vinyl Group.

Songtradr “sees a distinct opportunity for our digital properties to benefit from Vinyl Group’s existing and growing advertising network,” comments the business’s CEO Paul Wiltshire. "We are confident this collaboration will drive significant value for our brands and audiences."

The partnership is the latest in a string of eye-catching deals for Vinyl Group (ASX: VNL), Australia’s only ASX-listed music company, which includes an arrangement to buy Funkified Entertainment, the purchase of Mediaweek and the acquisition of the assets of Max Shand’s Serenade.

Based in Sydney, Vinyl Group made global headlines with its purchase of The Brag Media, announced in December 2023 and completed in late January 2024, a pact that welcomed The Brag’s suite of titles into the Vinyl fold, including Rolling Stone AU/NZ, Variety AU/NZ, Tone Deaf, and The Music Network.
