Vance Joy, Peking Duk top triple j’s One Night Stand bill
The first-ever event at Natimuk saw the organising committee submit a petition of 3000 names and $30,000 worth of pledges from local businesses – pretty admirable considering the town’s population at the time was 500.

triple j announced this morning that its bill for its One Night Stand 2018 includes Vance Joy, Peking Duk, Tkay Maidza, Middle Kids and Alex the Astronaut.
The annual free all-ages event will be held on Saturday, September 1 at a regional town.
The town will be announced on Thursday, June 7 during the Ben & Liam breakfast show.
The towns chosen in the last 15 years have been:
2004 – Natimuk, Victoria
2005 – Ayr, Queensland
2006 – Port Pirie, South Australia

2010 – Alice Springs, Northern Territory
2011 – Tumby Bay, South Australia
2012 – Dalby, Queensland

2015 – Not Held
2016 – Geraldton, Western Australia
2017 – Mount Isa, Queensland
The shows tend to attract audiences of up to 15,000. Last year’s Mt Isa show had a draw of 7,000.
