Beginning at 6am AEDT on Sunday, longtime triple j hosts Zan Rowe and Dom Alessio will take over the digital station and treat its global audience to an all-Australian playlist.

The following week, announcers Matt and Alex will focus on ARIA Award nominee and J Award nominated artist Courtney Barnett.

In week three, Lewi McKirdy and Linda Marigliano will highlight rising female stars before Veronica and Lewis will round out the November takeover with a world premiere from Chet Faker and London-based producer Marcus Marr.

The triple j takeover will run until the end of November, tying in with Ausmusic Month, when the station holds its J Awards.

This is the second time Beats 1 has hosted a month-long residency. Last month was from Mexican dance crew N.A.A.F.I. The programs hosted by N.A.A.F.I are available to retroactively stream on Apple Music Connect. triple j’s playlists will also be made available after each show airs.

Beats 1 is headed up by three in-residence DJs: ex-BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe who works out of LA, Julie Adenuga in London and Ebro Darden in New York. Lowe announced his departure from BBC in February and hosted his last show on March 5.
