'Total Eclipse of the Heart' hit #1 on iTunes because an eclipse needs a literal soundtrack
Turn around, bright eyes.

Turn around bright eyes, you're missing the eclipse.
Americans in search of a literal soundtrack for today's solar eclipse caused a rush of sales for Bonnie Tyler's 1983 epic 'Total Eclipse Of the Heart', briefly pushing the song to #1.
According to Billboard, the song sold 12,000 downloads in the U.S. during the week ending on Sunday, August 20 - with 4,000 on August 20 alone.
Eclipse lovers kept buying and streaming the song in the lead up to the event, pushing to the song to #1 on the chart, supplanting the likes of Justin Bieber and Liam Payne.
It will be interesting to see how highly the song will chart in the Billboard Hot 100.
