The inaugural Melbourne Sessions – held today (Friday, July 6) – has sold out.
220 emerging to middling songwriters and composers will meet at Kindred Studios, in Yarraville, for a full day of 90-minute masterclasses, workshops and networking opportunities.
Melbourne Sessions is a collaboration by APRA AMCOS and the Victorian government through Creative Victoria.

Keynote speaker Warryn Campbell, LA-based Grammy-winning writer/producer/executive who has worked with Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott, among others, will kick off the day at 9.15 am be chatting with producer Jan Skubiszewski.
Following behind at 10.30 am to 12 pm is a Music for Film & Television masterclass with multi-award winning screen composer Cezary Skubiszewski.
Other masterclasses are led by Ben Abraham, video game composer Jared Underwood, producer/engineer Anna Laverty, Magi Dirt’s Adalita, and Harvey Miller of Client Liaison, who is replacing songwriter Shungudzo.

Workshop mentors include Chris Cheney of The Living End, rising performer Ainslie Wills, singer-songwriter Laura Jean, and newly announced additions Alexander Gow of Oh Mercy and solo artist Amaya Laucirica.
