Tim Pithouse resurfaces at Three Six Zero, just two months after confirming his departure from Sony Music‘s The Orchard.

Pithouse is named president of central services at Three Six Zero, the established global artist management business based in New York City, MBW reports.

In this new post, he’ll will be responsible for overseeing all central services including marketing, commercial brand endorsements, streaming, creative and Web3.

Established in 2014, Three Six Zero is run by its co-founder Mark Gillespie, and boasts a roster that includes Calvin Harris, Nicky Jam, The Streets and Louis Tomlinson. The company now has offices in Los Angeles, Miami and London.

Pithouse was considered a leading candidate for the top job at Sony Music Australia, which remains vacant following the speedy exit of Denis Handlin in June 2021.

However, in joining Three Six Zero, he retains a connection with his former employer.

He'll also have responsibilities for all Three Six Zero’s content businesses, MBW reports, which include Three Six Zero Recordings, which has released recordings by The Prodigy, John Summit, Paul Kalkbrenner, Noizu and Dom Dolla.

Three Six Zero Recordings launched in 2018 as a joint venture between Three Six Zero and Sony Music.

Pithouse recently split with The Orchard, ending a three-year stint with the digital content specialist.

Prior to relocating to New York in 2018 to join The Orchard, Pithouse was the general manager of international marketing and artist development at Sony Music Australia.

He notched up more than 15 years with the music major, joining in 2006 as a digital services account manager, and, over time, rising to several positions across marketing and artist development.

When he joined The Orchard, Pithouse’s brief was to expand the business’s global footprint and profile in artist and label services.

At the time, his promotion was seen by many in the industry as another rung in his climb to the leadership position at Sony Music.
