Tidal introduces discount student pricing in Australia

Jay-Z comes after those $tudent dollar$$

Tidal may be clinging to its reputation as the pricey, premium streaming service, but it also understands its high entry point is somewhat detrimental when it comes to engaging new users, most of whom can't see the sense in paying double for a 'hi-fi' version when they are fuelled by ramen, so to speak.

Enter Tidal's new affordable Student Plans, which start at AUD$6 for their premium tier, and $12 for the hi-fi version - so basically half price.

The premium tier offers "exclusive access to high-profile music, videos, original video series, podcasts, livestreams, tickets, merchandise and live experiences fans cannot find anywhere else", while the Hi-fi tier sounds a bit better, basically.
