The Paper Kites have taken their Australian success global - literally - landing back-to-back billboards in Times Square.

The band featured on a YouTube billboard for a week, followed immediately by a Spotify billboard, giving their seventh album, If You Go There, I Hope You Find It, a high-profile presence in one of the world’s most visible spots.

The international spotlight comes as the album debuted at No. 1 on the Australian Album Chart and No. 13 overall. Leading up to the album’s release, The Paper Kites played a series of in-the-round shows across the country. Tickets for initial dates sold out quickly, prompting extra shows in Sydney and Adelaide.

Released in January, If You Go There, I Hope You Find It marks a continuation of The Paper Kites’ signature blend of delicate folk, lush indie-pop, and emotive storytelling. Highlighted by recent singles "Change Of The Wind," "Shake Off The Rain," "Every Town," and "When The Lavender Blooms,"it is guided by a longing for connection, simplicity, and emotional clarity.

In addition to topping the ARIA charts, it entered streaming charts overseas, including the UK Americana Albums Chart where it reached No. 19.

The milestone not only celebrates The Paper Kites' success, but sets the stage for a truly international chapter in their career, showing that homegrown indie talent can still command visibility and make an impact far beyond the Australian market.

Tonight (February 6th), they will play at Taronga Zoo as part of the Twilight Series, and will join Bernard Fanning at his final Tea & Sympathy 20th Anniversary Show in Brisbane in March, before they set off on tour across UK/EU and the US.
