TEG appoints John Nicholl new head of commercial

Nicholl has 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing, including eight years as a business director.

Sydney-based Asia-Pacific ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics company TEG, has appointed John Nicholl as head of commercial.

The newly-created executive role will have responsibility for brand partnerships, sponsorships and hospitality sales across TEG’s portfolio of live entertainment.

Nicholl has 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing, including eight years as a business director with the multi-national marketing services giant WPP AuNZ and five years as CEO of STW Sport, an integrated sports sponsorship consultancy.

He is a former regional marketing manager and sports marketing and sponsorship manager for Coca-Cola Amatil and most recently was the general manager of commercial and marketing for Rugby Australia.

TEG CEO Geoff Jones said Nicholl brings a great mix of skills and experience to the role.

“TEG is Australia’s largest diversified promoter of sports and live entertainment and that means we have a compelling array of events and opportunities for major brands and VIP clients,” said Jones.

“John will lead TEG’s commercial program across major event sport, music, family entertainment and exhibitions. This is an exciting appointment for TEG and will enhance our ability to connect brands and people to unforgettable live experiences.”
