Taylor Swift is making and breaking records with pastel-pop hit ‘ME!’

Taylor Swift's ‘ME!’ has set a new record on Vevo, becoming the fastest video to hit 100 million views.

‘ME!’ cracked the Vevo milestone in 79 hours.

The previous time frame was Ariana Grande's ‘Thank U, Next’which took four days last December.

JP Evangelista, Vevo SVP of content, programming & marketing said: “Taylor has consistently demonstrated the ability to break records on Vevo.

“She continues to expand upon a deep history of incredibly striking audio-visual work.

“Likewise, director Dave Meyers continues a storied career as one of the premier music video directors in our industry.”

It was the second Vevo milestone for the video.

It notched up the most views in 24 hours with 65 million views in its first day.

That beat the 59 million for ‘Thank U, Next’ in the same time frame.

On YouTube, Taylor now holds the record for most-viewed female and solo 24-hour debut, after bringing in 65.2 million views on its first day.

In the UK, ‘ME!’ entered yesterday at #3, behind Stormzy’s ‘Vossi Bop’ and Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’.

But it became the fifth ever song – and the first by an international female – to debut #1 on the UK airplay chart.

It had generated 3,525 plays across 149 stations for 68.24 million impacts.

‘ME!’ was also the highest new entry on EU Airplay at #23, with 212.71m impacts across 7,329 plays and 702 stations.

The singer-songwriter has also confirmed on Twitter that her eye-opening performance at Billboard’s music awards will be released on CD and vinyl.
