Emerging Sydney-based artist imbi the girl is the latest signing to Select Music’s roster.

The DIY pop muso, who identifies as non-binary, has enjoyed big splashes on Billboard.com, Noisey and Triple J in recent months, off the back of debut 2017 single "acidic" and the release earlier this year of first-up EP For Me.

"Beyond chuffed to be joining such a talented family at Select Music -- can’t wait for our future together,” imbi posted on their social channels.

A former Triple J Unearthed feature artist, imbi the girl showcased at Bigsound 2018 and has appeared on stage at a string of outdoor shows, including at Groovin' The Moo, Festival of the Sun and Big Pineapple Music Festival.

“I am over the moon to be a part of team imbi the girl,” comments Select Music agent Casey O’Shaughnessy in a statement announcing the company’s newest recruit. “I have been a fan for a long time, and look forward to working on a long and exciting career with them.”
