Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Richard Marx has announced a return to Australia for a national tour in 2026.

The five-city run will see Marx bring his timeless voice and unforgettable catalogue to Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, and Melbourne in April, performing new music alongside the global hits that have defined his career.

“I can’t wait to get back to Australia,” Marx said. “The audiences there have always been so warm and passionate. It’s going to be an unforgettable run of shows.”

His last Australian tour in 2023 was a sell-out success, and demand for his 2026 return is expected to be even greater.

Discovered at just 18 by Lionel Richie, Marx went on to become one of the most enduring artists of the modern era, scoring No. 1 singles in four different decades (a rare feat only shared with Michael Jackson), penning 14 chart-topping hits across multiple genres, and collaborating with everyone from Hugh Jackman and Luther Vandross to *NSYNC and Ringo Starr.

His 1989 ballad "Right Here Waiting" is a No. 1 ARIA Platinum single, and has recently enjoyed a resurgence thanks to its inclusion in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, with more than 540 million streams on Spotify.

The upcoming tour follows the recent release of his latest single "All I Ever Needed", featuring world-renowned trumpeter Chris Botti. The sweeping, jazz-infused ballad pairs his signature lyrical intimacy with lush orchestration and a soaring horn solo. Lyrically, it traces the journey from independence to surrender, celebrating the realisation that love is life’s true anchor.

He is currently appearing as a coach on The Voice Australia alongside Melanie C (or Sporty Spice), Ronan Keating, and Kate Miller-Heidke.

This year, he expanded his creative horizons further with a hit podcast and YouTube series Stories to Tell, where he candidly hosts conversations with friends and collaborations including Kenny G, Kiss' Paul Stanley, Katie Couric, Chelsea Peretti, Rick Springfield, and more.

Presale begins at 12pm on Wednesday, October 22nd, before general sale at 12pm on Friday, October 24th. For more ticket information, see here.
