Rdio launches free Internet radio service for Australia and the US

Rdio has announced today that one of its most popular features – the hundreds of digital radio stations available to stream – will be available for free on mobile to all iOS and Android users in Australia and North America.

New users, plus those whose subscriptions or trials have ended, will be able to listen to all of Rdio’s stations — which pull from a library of over 20 million songs — via the Rdio mobile app.

New features launched today in conjunction with the free offering include sharing of your personalised You FM stations on social network (should you wish), and the introduction of playlist, and album stations.
