Ralph Carr under Supreme Court microscope after liquidation

Sydney's Supreme Court will examine Ralph Carr's affairs in relation to the liquidation of his RCM Touring company.

A source has confirmed to TMN that Carr will be examined next week (February 10).

The news comes almost two years after Sam Righi’s Sydney-based tour company Big Deal Touring Pty Ltd applied to the Federal Court to wind up one RCM Touring.

Big Deal Touring alledged RCM owed over $120,000 for live events, including unpaid invoices for the Elvis Encore tour ($16,500), the now-cancelled Roy Orbison hologram tour ($16,500), a Priscilla Presley tour ($25,300), an appearance by footballer Dustin Martin at The Palms club in Melbourne ($11,000) and a bonus payable under the Elvis agreement.

RCM Touring denied owing the money but the Australian Federal Court agreed and ordered the company be placed into liquidation.

Carr previously worked with high profile clients Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano and Vanessa Amorosi.

Upon parting ways with RCM following accusations of the company's unpaid debuts, Ceberano said; “Working with RCM was an exciting time in my career, but I’m ready as an artist to embrace a new style of management."
