Open Day for Grove Studios where you learn with the stars

The Grove Studios Academy

The NSW Central Coast’s Grove Studios is the only studio in Australia where artists like Birds of Toyko, Violent Soho, DMA’s and Dune Rats are on-site recording while Diploma of Music Industry students are studying.

On Saturday, August 31, it is holding an Open Day between 11am- 2pm for potential students to learn more about the courses on offer.

The Grove Studios Academy is run by the studio’s director and the producer behind multiple ARIA Award-winning albums Scott Horscroft.

He says, “If you want to work in audio production but aren’t sure where to start, then the Open Day is for you.

“Let us show you how we can provide the foundation for your career in the music industry.”

Located within the scenic bushland setting of the studios (286 Mangrove Rd, Somersby), the academy is supported by NSW Government Smart and Skilled Funding.

  • Mixing and mastering live audio
  • Developing and implementing sound plans
  • Creating and producing music sequences
  • Sampling, editing and recording your own music

Students can find out more about the 12-month courses of Diploma of Music Industry (Sound Production) - CUA50815 and Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (Sound Production) - CUA60515.

The courses begin in January 2020, with a Registration Day on Saturday, November 16.
