Oasis Live '25 Live: Man Dies After Fall at Wembley Stadium

Oasis' concert Saturday at London's Wembley Stadium had a tragic moment when a man died from "injuries consistent with a fall”.

Medics and officers at the national stadium responded to alerts of a man in his 40s, who had sustained injuries at 22:19 BST. He was pronounced dead at the scene, a rep from the Met Police tells the BBC.

Oasis told the Corporation that they were “shocked and saddened” by the incident. “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved,” a statement reads.

The police are confident that "a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage," and asked anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

According to The Guardian, the man was understood to be sitting in the upper tier of the venue, the highest stands of which are 50 metres above the turf.

Wembley Stadium released its own statement. “Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.”

The Britpop heavyweights were performing one of seven sold-out shows booked at Wembley, which has a capacity of 90,000.

The Oasis concert on Sunday went ahead as expected.

The Gallagher brothers will dish the hits in Australia later this year when their tour rolls in for three shows at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium, starting October 31st, followed by two shows at Sydney's Accord Stadium.

Live Nation is producing the global trek, Oasis' first in 16 years. 

In the UK, the Manchester rock band has an impeccable chart record. All seven of their studio albums hit No. 1 on the Official UK Chart, as did their 2010 hits compilation, Time Flies 1994-2009 – for a total of eight leaders.

As the tour kicked off in the British Isles last month, Time Flies returned to No. 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart for the first time in 15 years, while their 1995’s set (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? bounced to No. 2, and their 1994 debut Definitely Maybe blasted to No. 4, giving Oasis three of the top 5.
