NOVA Entertainment has launched a special podcast series called 'In Her Own Words', featuring interviews with eight inspirational women in diverse roles within the media industry, in celebration of International Women's Day.

The podcast examines issues that impact and challenge women in a rapidly changing and fast-paced world, exploring themes of resilience, career highlights and lowlights and balancing the demands of life and the people around them.

The series features interviews, conducted by James Manning, Editor of Mediaweek and introduced by Ash Gardner, Nova’s News Journalist, with figures who work within NOVA entertainment.

Interviewees include Cathy O’Connor, Chief Executive Officer of NOVA who said, "Companies and boards, and male executives in particular, need to change their view of what work looks like and be prepared to really judge their staff around output and productivity not presence.”

Insight will also be provided by, Melissa Doyle, Kate Murphy, Chrissi Swan, Tamie Williams, Jennifer Hansen, Nat Locke, Clair Marshall.

Clair Marshall, Music Marketing Director for NOVA said, “People should just support people in doing what they want to do and it doesn’t matter what their sex is. You have to elevate people across the board to help them get where they want to go.”

“You have to be clear on what you want and you have to be patient because it’s all not going to land in your lap”
