Northern Territory setting up reference group for Indigenous women’s music program
The group will assist with Music NT's 2017-2020 strategic plan to promote music and arts.

Northern Territory’s peak music association Music NT is tapping on Indigenous women with music industry experience and skills to apply to become members of a new industry reference group.
The group will assist the association in planning, coordinating, operating and evaluating its Indigenous Women’s Music Program.
Currently, the main projects within the IWMP are Sista Sounds and Divas.
Sista Sounds promotes the inclusion of women and girls in music activities and provides opportunities and skills-based workshops for them to engage more with music.
Divas offer a range of industry skills for emerging Indigenous singer/songwriters along with performance opportunities at showcases and other events.
More info is available here.
The six to eight participants selected from applications will be announced on Friday, July 20.
