Star-in-waiting Ngaiire has signed with Dot Dash Recordings ahead of a “big year” of new releases.

The Papau New Guinea-born, Sydney-based future-soul singer joins a roster at the indie label that includes Methyl Ethel, Carla Geneve, Donny Benét, Banoffee and Sui Zhen.

“It’s really exciting to finally have a small but incredibly dedicated army of people to help carry this project,” she comments in a statement announcing the deal.

“What means even more is that Dot Dash came to the table really wanting this partnership and have already shown how fearless they are about taking on an artist that has never really fit the moulds - so you know we bout to shift gears now.”

Ngaiire won over critics everywhere with her 2016 album Blastoma, which earned Australian Music Prize and AIR Award nominations.

After a long pause, Ngaiire released the single 'Shiver' in late 2019 and 'Boom' in early 2020.
