New team for Due West festival
Announcing their two executive producers plus seven artistic associates who will help to innovate festival programming, audience experiences and community representation.

Things are being ramped up for the next instalment of Melbourne’s biennial Due West multi-arts festival. It will be staged November 15—24 2019 and produced by the Footscray Community Arts Centre.
Its executive producers will be Dan Mitchell, who’s worked as artistic director in various events and Lana Nguyen, an emerging curator with experience across theatre, literature and performance.
Seven artistic associates have also been brought in “to spark imaginative approaches to festival programming, audience experiences and community representation – including the intersection between creativity, culture, age, sexuality, disability and gender.”
The seven are Emma Donovan, Kath Duncan, Phuong Ngo, Sista Zai Zanda, Alec Reade, Steven Trosti and Bryce Ives.
Due West is inviting proposals from artists and organisations in Melbourne’s west through an expression of interest.
Preference will be given to local works, artists and organisations, followed by projects with national and international reach.
For details on the expression of interest, visit the Due West website HERE.
