Native Tongue Publishing has signed Central Coast singer-songwriter Sophie Curtis, who performs as ASTON, in a global deal.

The signing news arrives as ASTON releases her debut single 'Girl Is A Gun', accompanied by a music video. In addition to releasing her own music, Curtis has written music for Cosmo's Midnight, Jordie Ireland and Ricki-Lee.

In the past, Curtis' music has been given sync placements on Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, multiple Netflix series, ESPN USA, BMW China and more.

"I'm thrilled to be signing with such an incredibly hardworking team! One that I'll be able to grow with not only as a songwriter but also as an artist," the artist said in a statement.

Native Tongue's head of creative services Matt Tanner said: "Sophie is a rare writer that is equally as comfortable in the studio as a songwriter and artist. With the drive to match her incredible talent we look forward to an exciting future.”

In addition to ASTON, Native Tongue's roster currently includes artists Alex Lahey, Alice Ivy, Courtney Barnett, Jen Cloher and The Jezabels, among others.
